Gas grill
A large Weber gas barbecue with three burners is available on the terrace. The operation is basically relatively simple. However, there are a few things to bear in mind, which are described here.
Set-up
Before starting the barbecue, some preparations must be made:
- First, remove the protective cover from the barbecue.
- Grasp the barbecue on the left side and roll it off the terrace onto the lawn area.
- Fold up the left-hand table and let it snap into place horizontally.
- Make sure that an aluminium tray is inserted underneath the barbecue inside the grease drip tray, which can collect the dripping grease.
Preheating and cleaning
Once the grill is in the desired location, it can be put into operation:
- Make sure that all three knobs for the flames are closed (clockwise).
- Turn the tap on the gas bottle so that the symbol with the 'red flames' is pointing upwards.
- Open the left-hand knob and then press the button to light the flame.
- After the left of the three flames has been lit, open the two right-hand knobs and make sure that they are also lit.
- Close the lid of the grill and let it preheat on maximum for about 15-20 min, so that the grill has been operated at a temperature of over 250° for some time.
- Make sure your hands are well protected from the heat by wearing grill gloves.
- Now open the lid of the grill and, using the wire brush, brush the grill grate vigorously so that there is no more food residue on the grill grate.
- The grill is now ready for use.
Barbecue
After the grill has been set up, preheated and cleaned, the actual grilling can begin:
- Close the lid of the grill and set the temperature of the grill to the desired level.
- Make sure your hands are well protected from the heat by wearing grill gloves.
- When the grill has reached the desired temperature, place your food on the grill rack and turn it over at the appropriate time.
- Remove the food from the grill when it is completely grilled as desired.
- Close the knobs for the three flames of the grill.
- Close the tap on the gas bottle so that the symbol with the "green flames" points upwards..
Dismantling
After the barbecue is finished, it can be dismantled like this:
- Make sure that the grill has cooled down. This should be the case about 30 minutes after switching off the grill.
- Close the lid of the grill.
- Make sure that the knobs of the flames and the tap on the gas bottle are closed.
- Fold the left table of the barbecue back into the vertical position.
- Roll the grill back under the roof and return the grill to its original position.
- Pull the protective cover back over the barbecue.
Cleaning before departure
Please leave the grill in a cleaned condition, as you would like to find it yourself as a guest before your first barbecue. Therefore, please make sure that you heat up the grill again and clean it thoroughly with the wire brush before you leave.
