Insects
Since the holiday home is located in a rural area and directly adjacent to a nature reserve, you may encounter various animals and plants. We would like to point out at least the following three insects in this context:
Mosquitoes
Please note that mosquitoes can be found in this region, including tiger mosquitoes. In our experience, various remedies available in the various supermarkets and kiosks help well here:
- Autan: A mosquito spray which, in our experience, is very good at repelling mosquitoes.
- Citronella: There are various processings of the citronella plant, the smell of which is used to repel mosquitoes. It is offered as, among other things, in candle form, as scent doses, in spray form, as bracelets, etc.
- After Bite: A stick available in pharmacies that is very good at stopping the itching in the case of mosquito bites. It is also very often used in case of contact with jellyfish.
Ants
We would like to inform you that ants are present in this region. We recommend that you pack leftover food and snacks as carefully as possible or store them in the refrigerator. This is a good way to avoid ants getting into the holiday home.
